My work includes the preparation and installation of objects and complex works for exhibitions. Display methods must consider material type, exhibition duration and the overall space. I work flexibly, collaborating with experts to develop sympathetic and visually appropriate display systems. My experience includes the preparation and installation of objects exhibited at the Victoria & Albert Museum, notably a gallery of more than 100 large-format silver dye bleach prints for Fragile Beauty: Photographs from the Sir Elton John and David Furnish Collection. Another display project involved the installation of over1000 instant prints for the museum's Photography Centre.
I have extensive experience designing effective mounting structures for both 2-D and 3-D works, carefully considering material characteristics, display context, and preservation requirements. I approach each project creatively, developing specialised mounts that use conservation-appropriate materials to ensure safe display.
My background also includes the accurate and sensitive reproduction of 2-D works for both display and study. Facsimiles provide a valuable means of increasing access to highly delicate works that are at risk from handling or exposure. Their creation involves image capture, precise printing, careful selection of paper specifications, and considerate mounting methods.
